iPhone 4th Generation Help!!?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
My parents went out and got me an iPhone 4th gen. The box says 4th gen and everything.
But when I open it, beside my cellphone provider, it says 3G.
What’s the ’3G’ for? My mom also an iPhone 4th gen, and hers doesn’t say anything like that.

The 4 in iPhone 4 stands for the fourth model. This is the fourth iphone apple has created. 3G is the service that att provides. As of now, 3G is the fastest network speed for att and verizon. Sprint has a 4g network, but thats only in like 10 cities. So the 3G next to the network name means that your fourth generation iphone is running on the 3G software, which is normal.
