Ipod touch Microphone Help!!!?

I recently got a microphone for my ipod touch (2nd gen) called a Philips iPhone Microphone Adapter its meant for the iphone but it works on my touch with every app: shazam etc. except for one called midomi it is supposed to function somewhat like shazam however you can also hum/sing, it was free so I got it but when I use it w/my mic in it says i dont have one, so I go to another app and it works just fine.

maybe it doesnt support that app
