iPod touch 3g to iPhone- the best way?
I have an iPod touch 3g, and I have heard so many times that it is possible to convert it into an iPhone. Okay, well it wouldn’t exactly be an iPhone, but VOIP apps can be installed at least. However, I am having trouble finding exactly which is the best way to do this. The top result on google from lifehacker.com seems a bit outdated by now, and there are a number of different apps to choose from. So, which one is best, in other words, offers the best connectivity, sound quality in calls, and features? Furthermore, which microphone/speaker works best with it? I don’t want to carry around cords with mics and headphones attached, but if there is something simple and portable that is effective yet cheap, that would be what I’m looking for.

Skype is by far the best. It is free for local calls but otherwise you gotta pay. As for microphones, I don’t know.
